Case Study: “CBD’s a shortcut to calm and relaxation”

One of the main reasons as to why people start taking CBD is to help combatting anxiety, which is one of the most prevalent mental health issues in the country right now. Recent studies have shown that around 1 in 5 adults suffer from some form of mental health concern, with anxiety disorders such as Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Social Anxiety Disorder being the most common. This can be heightened to 1 in 3 adults between the ages of 16 and 39, with there being a 150% increase in self-reported cases in the first 3 months of 2020 alone.

Through multiple studies, as well as case studies from people like Camilla, CBD has shown promise as an anti-anxiety therapeutic due to it having anxiolytic properties. This seems to be through CBD interacting with the body’s endocannabinoid system to activate receptors in the brain’s amygdala, receptors that when blocked or inactive can cause anxious tendencies. Additionally, it can target further receptors that are responsible for emotional processing, allowing for peace of mind in the presence of an upcoming. In some studies as much as 80% of participants diagnosed with anxiety disorders said that their anxiety decreased and remained decreased through the regular use of CBD. “I really love the peppermint 10% drops. I wouldn’t be without them now – they are a short cut to calm and relaxation.

They are a good, non-alcoholic way to relax in the evening, and are amazing at taking the edge off stress and anxiety. I’ve suffered from insomnia for many years, but find Goodbody CBD drops give me a deep and restorative night’s sleep – even when I’m really jittery and stressed. So good to have on hand. They’re Also great for period pain. The peppermint flavour tastes really nice, and  they’re easy to take out and about.”
